FDA sheath

FDA sheathed cable with key data: 105 °C, 1,000 V, 0.58 mm wall thickness

Hygiene, cleaning cycles and continuous temperature – in food and beverage production, cables must be able to do more than just carry electricity. With our TPE sheath styles 22126, 22127 and 22128, we offer FDA-approved sheaths with cUR approval for 105 °C, in three voltage classes and with particularly thin wall thicknesses. This leaves space in compact assemblies – and the cable withstands cleaning agents and steam sterilisation.

Sheath and core insulation compound with cUR

TPE sheath

TPE cable with key data: 125 °C, 1,000 V, 0.6 mm wall thickness

Engine compartments, control cabinets, machines with increased ambient temperatures: where things get permanently hot, cross-linked or fluorinated materials have mostly been used until now – expensive, complex and non-recyclable. Our new TPE sheath and TPE core insulation compounds offer clear advantages over other plastic compounds in the temperature range up to +120 °C (CSA +125 °C): cUR-approved, flame-retardant, extremely thin-walled and without cross-linking.
